Maps
Map bases are the basic building blocks for working in TASHA.
TASHA can use different types of mapping:
- Commercial (etc. HERE maps, Google maps).
- Open Source - free for commercial use (OpenStreetMap).
Currently, HERE maps are used. The settings of the map bases are described in HERE.
TASHA can work with multiple map types. In practice, this means that each vehicle type, or group of vehicles, is assigned a specific map to which specific restrictions apply.
The most common types of maps are:
- For light vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
- For medium heavy vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes
- For heavy vehicles over 7.5 tonnes
Example: if you need to serve an order in an area where trucks are banned, the order will only be served by vehicles that have a map set for light vehicles.
What is the difference between Map Kind and Map Type?
Map kind: this is a map platform (OpenStretMap, Google, HERE, Seznam, etc.). Map kind can be made up of different types
Map type: Refers to the specific use of the map (for light, medium and heavy vehicles, or for vehicles with dangerous goods) Specific restrictions apply to each map type.
