Launcher
This tool makes sure your installation is up to date.
It checks for updates, downloads them and installs them. Then it runs the application, making it a very seamless process.
It only downloads releases, that have been marked by a "ready" tag. (unless you specify otherwise)
Usage:
1) Launch manually as desired.
2) Run launcher instead of the main app (as it will fire it after it updates)
3) Allow creation of the launcher icon during the install and use it.
Usage details
You can run the launcher with parameters.
The first parameter is the path to the folder containing the Tasha.exe file. The following parameters are tags that filter the build.
Technical notes:
Launcher creates a detailed log in the logs directory + updates progress to the console.
It connects to the build server using a user called "Updater".
The launcher copies the downloaded files to a temp folder.
It downloads all the core program files + it scans the resource and plugins folder for *.dll files and tries to download them from the build server.
This will not update the DevExpress components or other files and thus for major upgrades an installer must be used anyways.
